Bead Fairs

Thank you very much to everyone who came to see me in Glasgow and Inverurie!

I have enjoyed the chats and meeting new people.

I have added a few photos of my display in Glasgow (designed and fine-tuned by John , my husband).

I will add new beads to my website in the next couple of days

House move...

Oooops! One year already since my last post... I am still here and I am still making beads but I have moved house and it has taken a lot of my time recently.

We do not leave in Aberdeen anymore, we have left our 'Millbank cottage' for a house in the countryside. We now live in the charming little village of Daviot in Aberdeenshire.

Scottish Bead Fair in Glasgow

My workshop is all installed and I have been making beads again for the past few weeks in preparation for the Scottish Bead Fair in Glasgow which I will be attending on the 20th of November. Please come and say hello to me if you are planning to attend.

I have been concentrating on Galaxy beads (which are some of my favourite type of beads to make) and I think that I have come up with some tasty glass combinations (even if I say so myself). I will have other kind of beads as well.

Unfortunately, I do not have any beads pictures to show you as my photo equipment is still packed up in a box somewhere in the house, but I am not too sure where.

Christmas fair, Gallery i, Constitution Street, Inverurie

On the 26th of November, I will be attending another fun event in Inverurie: a Christmas fair
together with the ladies of a nice group called Monday motivation that I have joined since moving house.
This should be a fun and festive shopping experience including lampwork glass beads (made by me), ceramic greek beads, all kind of holistic therapies, cakes ...and much more...

It will take place from 10am to 4 pm at Gallery i, Constitution street, Inverurie.

Please come and see us if you live locally and email me if you require more information.

Then, at long last I will update my neglected website with new beads and I will inform you when this has been done if you are in my mailing list.

This is it for this post, I will update my blog again soon with pictures.

Bye

Annelyse

What I have been up to...

I have been quiet for a while with no blog updates and not many updates to my website either.
I have a very good excuse...We got a puppy...! We have had him for nearly 4 weeks now and he has kept us quite busy..

He is a lovely, clever little dog. His name is Nougat (Pronounced the french way: Noo-gah), he is really my kids doggie but he is also a great bead making companion for me, sleeping on his back in a basket while I am making beads during the day.

Here is a picture of him (stealing my beads!) a couple of weeks ago (Sorry if you have already seen this picture on Flickr).

I have also been making a few beads, making old favourite style such as the galaxy beads:

I have also been experimenting with new designs and ideas...

and....I have managed a button which I am proud of. Now I need to knit something to be able to use it though!:

Summertime and the living is easy...

We are now back at my parents house after 10 days spent camping on a farm in a remote valley in Drôme provençale, surrounded by goats, lavender, walnut trees and mountain rivers.
I am not in a great writing mood so I have stuck a few pictures below.

We will be heading to Zeebruggen on Monday to catch our ferry back to Scotland after our long summer holiday. I wonder if I still know how to make beads?!!

Postcard from France where it is hot, hot, hot!

We have now been in France for two weeks and the weather has been hot with the occasional thunderstorm.

We are staying out of the sun under the trees, usually in a long reclining chair apart from the day on the pictures below when we had some more energetic fun.

I hope you are all having a lovely summer!
